"Portal into another land"

In The Haunted Mesa, L'Amour wrote of a portal into a world of evil. He also wrote a book about a portal into a world of good. Can anyone tell me what that book is called? Many thanks in advance.

The Californios. The people of the other world came through to us except one of the 'baddies' went through and aged 60 years in a matter of days.

The English Language is weird. It can be understood through tough thorough thought though.

I wouldn't call it a "world of good." It's just another reality of some sort. Actually, I wouldn't put a value judgement on either world. The culture of the people that you meet from the other world in Haunted Mesa is pretty authoritarian but it's just one culture in what one must assume is a whole world as diverse in it's people as our is.

There's a third "alternative world" story, it's "Jeremy Loccard" in Lost Treasures Volume One. It seems like it was going to be a sort of a follow up to The Californios.
