"Met an old gal once..."

She was a former college history professor. To say she was good looking is doing her a disservice. She was a bit of an adventurist at 5’9” tall, but only to an academic point. She lived on a couple dozen acres in Texas with her pet cow, in addition to a small herd she raised and sold. My cat, Storm, and I spent a week with her once and got a few tours of the area and history lessons. Storm loved how the cattle would walk up and peek into our bedroom window at her. Come to think of it, that might have been the beginning of Storm’s fascination with cows. Anyway, the lady died recently and I remember her eccentricities with affection...really nice legs were a distraction she used to advantage. Odd, but I never really missed her eccentricity until I realized I’d never be able to see her again.
