Had to smile at a picture of Louis this evening. He had a walking stick he’d picked up, most likely along the way, and his dungarees/jeans caught my eye. He had them cuffed like my Dad used to cuff his and those of my brother and I. Nowadays we buy them in inseam sizes, but up until I was a teenager they came only in waist sizes and you cuffed them yourself to fit over your footwear.
