After losing a good friend, former Marine sniper, Viet Nam veteran, reader, single malt scotch enthusiast, and debater over the past week, I decided not to wait any longer to read NO TRAVELER RETURNS. Cary was known to announce as an Asian passed him on the street to mutter, “I used to shoot guys that looked like him.” And I would hit him on the shoulder...hard. “What the hell is wrong with you!” It’s time to begin the final journey. And it struck me as I began to open the book, after many years with it lying on the nightstand next to my bed, the irony of the title.
Keep in touch with friends and loved ones. Time is fragile.

Condolences on the loss of your friend Mike. You'll find three versions of Louis (characters displaying 3 periods of his development) in the book that I found reasonably complicated for a Louis Novel.

Les The English Language is weird. It can be understood through tough thorough thought though.

A memorable fellow, to say the least. I think thats the the hardest ones to get over. Remember Mike, it's good to remember where you came from. And of course where you are.
