Galloway is another of my favorites. The first couple of chapters can really grab you at how good Louis really was at descriptive writing.Who else could describe the escape and his horrible trek to survive with bloody, battered feet and naked to boot.
On another note, I thought I would try again to read 'The Walking Drum'.
Seems as if I had tried to read this one two or three times, then put it aside...
I was wrong about that. It was a different book, not 'The Walking Drum'.
I am already on the forth chapter and loving it for my first read. Its hard to explain why, but it grabbed me from the opening page.
I thank the forum for making this possible...
Another great one from our favorite author...
