"Fun Casting"

Arising from the discussion in another post (TDs Tom Selleck / Sacketts) here's my fun cast list for Last of the Breed.

Remember these are just a fun dream list so no debating anyone's choices but we might get a final list to put $$ signs beside :7

Joe Mack Emelio Estevez
Zamatev Martin Sheen
Alekhin Graham Greene
Pennington Derek Jacobi
Yakov Kurt Russel
Kyra Mariska Hargitay
Talya Kim Catrall
Baronas Peter Bowles
Zhikarev Johnathon Price

Mine is a list of both US and UK actors.

A little different take, but that is what a discussion is for...

1) Joe Mack - Jeremy Renner (Wind River)
2) Zamatev - Jeffery Dean Morgan
3) Alekhin - Adam Beach (Comanche Moon)
4) Pennington- Jeremy Davies (Saving Private Ryan)
5)Yakov - Robert Sedgwick
6) Kyra - Milla Jovovich
7) Natalya - Elizabeth Olsen
8) Baronas - Ben Kingsley
9) Zhikarev - Stanley Tucci

All,

I wasn't able to join in on fun casting for Last of the Breed as I still haven't read it.

I hope some of you are up for a go at The Sackett Brand. I'll need a lot of help as I'm not exactly up on all of the young actors.

Here's what I have so far.

Tell Sackett - Anson Mount (Thanks and credit to Les for this one)

Ange Sackett - Maggie Siff

Van Allen - ? Help!

Orrin Sackett - Ryan Hurst

Tyrell Sackett - Luke Grimes

Cap Rountree - Sam Elliott

Nolan Sackett - Ethan Hawke

Flagan and Galloway - Donnie and Mark Wahlberg

Well folks, that's all I have for now. I hope you'll chime in.

My mom and sister watch a daytime soap, The Bold and the Beautiful. There's an older man on the show that would be perfect as Van Allen.
Folks might sneer at a soap actor but this old boy would fill the bill.

I believe that, Dave. There are probably a lot of good actors on soaps.

Love the Anson Mount pick For Tell Sackett. Excellent choice, I loved him in 'Hell On Wheels'. He's also a very good historian, story teller and critic on film....
I also love the idea for Cap Roundtree being Sam Elliott. ( I think he would relish that role..
As far as the others, don't know to much about them, except for Ethan Hawke ( good Choice)
I'll check out a few, then I'll be back.

I was wondering when we'd hear from you on this, Blaine. Your love of this book is known.

I like your choices - especially Ben Foster as Van Allen! Didn't he play Ben Wade's "right hand man" in the remake of 3:10 to Yuma?

I also like your choice for Ange.

Yes he did. Excellent actor. Lately, he was in 'Hell or High Water', 'Hostiles' and a vampire film called ''30 days of night'... His best role was as a psycho killer in a Bruce Willis film called 'Hostage'
