"The Southwest - a favorite"

If any of you ever get to New Mexico, I would suggest you go down to Cimarron and visit the St. James Hotel. Bullet holes in the ceiling of the dining room are real. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._James_Hotel_(Cimarron,_New_Mexico) Also, on the way down there, you will go by the entrance to Philmont, the Boy Scout ranch (comprising some 214 square miles). Of course if you are ever in New Mexico there are numerous other places to visit such as Santa Fe and Taos. Drive the Enchanted Circle out of Taos through such places as Angel Fire, Eagle's Nest and Red River. Can you guess that I am a big fan of New Mexico (and Arizona)? I recall visiting Tortilla Flat, in the Superstition Mountain Range of Arizona and approaching a cage very carefully that said "Caution - Baby Rattler). When I peeked into the cage there was a baby's rattle. Those folks down there have a good sense of humor. ******************************************

I spend most of my year in Animas, doing astronomy education and rockets, you are right on the money New Mexico and Arizona are treasure droves to to be visited, also there's the Hila Cliff Dwellings, near Silver City,City of Rocks Near Demming, Tombstone near Benson AZ, and Shakespear near Lordsberg NM, is like stepping 75 years being down there, I leave again in 2 weeks to go back to God's countrt.
