   If you enjoy this type of music try and get
Robin Arnold CD Ridin Drag.

some of the old songs and some wonderful melody.

   Yep, I love those old songs. Loved Sons of the Pioneers too, and Ken Curtis (Festus). I also like Marty Robins songs of the old west, and Lorne Green (Ben Cartwright) did a few. Love those old days of my youth.

The subtle tongue, the sophist guile, they fail when the broadswords sing;
Rush in and die dogs--I was a man before I was a king!

   I've enjoyed their music for about 25 years; since the eighties when they had their TV show.
Those guys can really, really sing! .. What a great group.

   Just going through the postings and was thinking(nobody ever said I was a fast thinker)it would be great to have them sing my western songs, like the one that goes with my tag line, 'Run, Fool, Run' or 'Painted Warriors'. Imagine that!? ... I've been thinking about contacting Don Edwards ... (fingers crossed)
Ah well, maybe someday.

   Funny you should bring this subject up; I just listened to Daughters of the Purple Sage. Their CD 'Songs of the Golden West' in particular. Great voices & great renditions. Four Bob Nolan songs (Cool Water, Way Out There, Wind, Tumblin' Tumbleweeds), Patsy Montana (I Want to be a Cowboy's Sweetheart). Lots more classics, too.
I'm looking for more of their albums now!
